FORE! Leaside U22 Tees Off for Women’s Hockey Golf, Games & Great Vibes at Cedarhurst Golf Club

She swings, she scores! Last Sunday, June 22, our Junior team supporters swapped skates for golf shoes, hitting the fairways at Cedarhurst Golf Club in Beaverton for a high-energy, all-smiles “Best Ball” fundraiser—and it was a total hit!

With players, coaches, families, and friends in full swing (pun intended), the day was packed with sunshine, laughter, and loads of team spirit. From tee-off to the final putt, the event was all about supporting women’s hockey—and having a blast doing it.

Leaside players weren’t just along for the ride—they ran the show. They greeted guests, led on-course games and challenges, worked the buzzing raffle table, and proudly shared what it means to play elite-level women’s hockey. Every conversation was a win for the future of the sport.

The event featured 18 holes of fun in a best ball format, a delicious catered lunch, and a raffle packed with amazing prizes donated by generous supporters. Whether it was a long drive or a lucky draw—everyone walked away a winner.

With 11 new players joining the team this season, the tournament was the perfect way to build connections, raise important funds, and kick off the year with serious positive energy. Proceeds will go toward travel, equipment, and training as the team sets its sights on a stronger season ahead.
