Great Preseason Warm-up at Etobicoke Showcase

The Leaside Junior Hockey Wildcats had an impressive showing at the Etobicoke Junior Showcase last weekend. On Saturday morning, they defeated a team from Ridley College with a score of 6-2. Later that afternoon, they staged a thrilling comeback, tying the game at 3-3 against the North York Storm with about two minutes left on the clock.

On Sunday, the Wildcats faced off against Stanstead College from Quebec, a very skilled team, and lost with a score of 7-3.

Special thanks to the Robitaille family for fueling the athletes and coaches with home made protein bowls which were a big hit!

Coach Melissa Wronzberg is thrilled with the team’s performance and the promising start to the season. We still have lots to learn, but the effort and dedication to team play from everyone set the stage for a great season.. The Wildcats’ first home game is on Saturday, September 6, against the Ottawa 67’s at Leaside Memorial Arena. Come cheer the girls on live at 7:40 PM!
