The Toronto Leaside U22 Wildcats are gearing up for a special night of hockey, heart, and hope at this year’s Pink the Rink event, taking place Saturday, October 25th at Leaside Memorial Arena.
This annual tradition brings players, families, and fans together to celebrate community spirit while raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Visitors can enjoy a homemade bake sale, try their luck in a 50/50 raffle, and take part in fun, kid-friendly activities like a photo booth, a jelly bean contest, and nail decorating. All proceeds will go toward supporting breast cancer awareness and research.
Of course, no Wildcats event would be complete without some high-energy hockey action. The night will culminate in a feature game between the Toronto Leaside Jr. Wildcats and the Kingston Ice Wolves, with puck drop at 7:40 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and help turn the stands into a sea of support.
Adding to the excitement, there will also be a TV set up inside the rink streaming the Toronto Blue Jays game, so fans can cheer on both the Wildcats and the Jays at the same time. It’s the perfect mix of community, hockey, and hometown pride!
This event is about more than hockey — it’s about coming together as a community to support something that affects so many families. The Wildcats look forward to seeing everyone out in pink, cheering for a great cause.
So mark your calendars, grab your family and friends, and join the Wildcats for a night that’s sure to be filled with passion, purpose, and pink!
